Tender proposal for the Permanent backup office of the National Bank of Slovakia in Kremnica.

The sloping nature of the land with a northwest orientation and a preference for a view of the city castle, predestined us for a terraced solution of a three-story building with the building's masses partially embedded in the slope. Since the territory being addressed is a monument protected, the regulations determined the final expression for us - the current architectural morphology, taking into account the natural configuration of the terrain, the material-spatial solution does not have a disturbing effect and does not create a dominant height.

The building is located on the recommended plot and partly also on the sloping part. The reason is that the border between the parcels runs along the back of the northwestern slope, which we consider dominant in our proposal. On the contrary, we consider the valley on the northeast side of the plot to be financially demanding for construction and establishment.

In terms of transport, the building is connected to the newly built road from Czechoslovak Army street. In addition to exterior parking, we also propose covered parking, which after partial modification will serve as a CO cover.

When entering from the south, the building looks like a single-story L-shaped floor plan. This materially highest floor is the entrance floor, where, in addition to the covered parking and the entrance foyer, there is also a kitchen with a dining room, congress rooms and facilities. One floor below are the rooms and the wellness center, in the east wing are the center's administration and service areas. In the lowest floor of the room according to the requirements of the assignment. The terraced design allows us to implement extensive green living terraces and roofs that naturally blend in with the surrounding green slope and open landscape.

The technical solution of the load-bearing parts is a combination of the reinforced concrete wall-column system in the lower two floors and the wooden KVH skeleton on the top floor. The proposal looks through the lens of sustainability, seeks energy savings - partially underground construction and uses technologies to ensure almost zero need for heating. It also makes sure to use a significant amount of materials with a low carbon footprint, wood and recycled concrete. The ventilated facade cladding will be made of a composite material with a metallic patina, which color completes the look of the Kremnica roofs.

The surroundings of the building are left in their natural expression with the addition of footpaths, furniture and adequate planting of trees. On the roof of the lower floor there is space for mini golf and on the east side space for a roof fenced multifunctional playground. According to the assignment, our design solves the underground connection of the building with Angyal's house.

The object has the ambition to sensitively complement and evaluate the environment of the place, aiming to design buildings according to all the latest criteria for sustainable architecture.
